I love how complete these workouts are. They work every part of your body. I have had to slow down my P90X program because of baseball training in order to be ready for the season.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the crazy things is how much people are talking about this program. I am very excited about how much stronger I am in my upper body because of p90x. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:'times new roman';"&gt;I couldn't follow the meal plan. I tried, it just didn't work out for me but don't get me wrong Im getting what I wanted out of the program. Strength! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:'times new roman';"&gt;If you doing the program stick with it. I have to admit I feel stupid doing some of this stuff. I hadn't done much yoga before this program!&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;I was asked in the comment section about my extra running. I do not want to turn this thing into question and answer but to fill you in on what I am doing out side of &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: -webkit-monospace; font-size: 13px; white-space: pre-wrap; "&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, I will clarify what the running is. I do a lot interval running on my treadmill along with running on the basketball courts. I also love doing elliptical workouts on my precore. The Precore really helps my knees.&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoPlainText"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;I love the &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: -webkit-monospace; font-size: 13px; white-space: pre-wrap; "&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt; program and I feel stronger all ready. It does kick my butt and it is a complete workout but as a professional baseball player I still have to train for a specific task. The Thanksgiving  Holiday has come and gone and I am trying to step up my intensity  before  Christmas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am starting to feel a little stronger and I am seeing some  of the fat go away. I am still not able to do the whole routine to my liking. &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: -webkit-monospace; font-size: 13px; white-space: pre-wrap; "&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt; is no joke.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I would be lying to say I have been doing it each and  every day. Its been real hard trying to balance it all out. The combo had kicked my butt. So here I am  back on my feet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If your starting out in your &lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt; workout or any workout  and you miss a day or two, do not give up. Get your self back in front of the TV  and hit play. I just completed the first day of &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span&gt;  Classic and I can tell all ready I will be sore tomorrow. I have to admit that  pull ups and push ups are something I have neglected in my life. I opted to go  with the resistance bands over doing the pull ups.  The push ups were tough and  I will have to continue to improve.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;The Core  workout provided was a good combination of a lot of stuff I have seen before. Be  ready it kicks your butt as well. Day one is now  over.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;As for the diet portion of the program I  struggled a bit today. Its a fight everyday to eat well. I have also been a pitcher in the Major Leagues since 2003. I am  around 6'6" 6'7" and my weight can fluctuate between 255-275 pounds. Its crazy  how much my weight can move during the year.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;My  body started changing its shape drastically almost immediately after I got  drafted and started my pro career in 1999. As a Senior at Greenbrier East, I was  around 220 pounds. At 6'6" 220 I was in my athletic prime. I ran cross country,  I did high jump in track and played a very aggressive small forward in  basketball. I was the goal keeper in Soccer and as you might expect I also  played baseball. (shortstop and centerfield) After my prep career was over I  began playing Pro Baseball. I played my fist game in June and My last game of  that season in late August. By that time I had gained some significant weight. I  was about 255 pounds. Since that point in my life at 18-19 years old I have  struggled with keeping my weight from  fluctuating.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;My problem areas are two things,  Consistency of strength training and Consistency of eating well. Growing up I  could eat anything and not gain extra fat. As a adult I fight the eating  patterns I established as a youth. I will eat well one day, poor the  next.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;I picked the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt; &lt;span&gt; program because I have  heard positive feed back from many of my peers. I also did research and spoke  with the representatives of &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span&gt;. I learned of the programs core philosophy and  eating guidelines. As an athlete that preforms at an elite level, I am exposed  to some of the best workouts and information out there. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span&gt; is a high quality  product and I am excited to get started. I plan to use &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=SMC_P90X"&gt;P90X&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span&gt; not to just help me  prepare for our long season but also to allow me to maintain control of my body  shape.
